I had been satisfied to see the glowing look on Lindsey's face when I handed her the present. Any fool could see that she loved the crystal figurine of the wolf I'd given her. I'd been ecstatic, it had taken me days to find the perfect gift for her and I'd done it without any help from Ricardo or Mrs. Gillspie. Ricardo was keeping me updated with her movements today and I'd found out she had been to the lake and eaten lunch there, taking a guard by the name of Sam. I was on tenterhooks, waiting to see how she would react to my other surprise which was scheduled to arrive later today. I mean, it was lucky I hadn't accidentally let it slip in the morning.
