“I did.” I argued. “What kind of Fae Magic did you use?” It said something about the situation that he didn’t take offense to the word ‘Fae’.
“None. Copulation doesn’t work that way for us. If only it did. Then our Realm would be overflowing with children, but instead…” His expression turned grim and I winced.
“Right, right, trouble conceiving.” I supplied for him. “I don’t know what to say. I try to keep track of these things. Shifting during the wrong part of your cycle can be.. messy.” To say the very least. Animals and humans didn’t all experience ovulation the same. Some had heats, some clutches, some bled, and even the heats could vary, and it could mess up your cycle completely if you shifted during a breeding season. N
