My fingers moved along the piano as a sorrowful melody echoed in the enormous room. With eyes closed, I tried to keep my mind empty of all unnecessary worries or concerns, especially Victoria’s face.
She was seriously getting under my skin with every passing second, and it was making me frustrated.
I continued playing the song, but my mind distracted me completely. As I hit random keys, I hear someone clear their throat from the side.
My eyes snapped and found an unexpected guest standing there with a small smile plastered on her face.
“It’s been a while, sister,” I whispered between clenched teeth.
“Yes, it’s been quite a while Alex,” she answered and moved closer until she took a seat next to me.
