Alexander I flipped through a few paperwork early in the morning while my assistant filled me with a cup of coffee. Last night I didn’t sleep in the room since I felt angry with Victoria’s attitude. The way she was behaving, acting made me think she was hiding something from me. Or that she no longer needed me with her since her father handed her the family heirloom. Sighing, I set everything down. Today was the day Victoria would leave the duchy. The reason I didn’t insist on stopping her was that it was what we both needed.
