*Annabelle's POV*
I woke up in a large bed by myself. I look around at my surroundings and found myself alone in an average sized bedroom with basic furniture that looked like it belonged to a man. Looking down at myself, I saw that I was still fully dressed aside from my shoes sitting on the floor and I was laying on top of the comforter with a throw blanket over me. I got up and quickly put on my shoes and walked over to the window to figure out where I was. It looked like I was on the second floor of a really large building in the middle of the woods. Directly below I could see a couple kids running around in the yard. The sun is just starting to set, which means it's probably around 8:30 at night. Where am I?
I head to the closest door and slowly open it so I can creep out without sounding any alarm. I was becoming extremely proud of myself for being so quiet, then I realized that this door didn't even lead out of the room. It was to the freaking closet and definitely a man's one too. I start to close it when the shirt in the laundry hamper catches my eye. It's the blue shirt Sean was wearing yesterday. How did I get to Sean's place?
I go back to sit on the bed so I can try to figure this out on my own before I leave to find him. I start retracing my steps in my head. I had breakfast with Haylee then Sean and Tommy joined us like they had done all week. Tommy and Haylee have been getting really close these past few days. We hung out together in between classes in the patio area next to the gardens across campus. I left them for my astronomy class, which was my last class for the day. I wanted to get rid of my backpack before we all went out to eat. Then it hit me. Strangers came into my dorm room and said they wanted me to go with them because I was supposed to be a dark hunter. Then two more strangers came in and took care of the first three. One of them was able to grow claws and his eyes turned yellow too. And the girl said she makes potions, like a witch. Did someone drug me?
After I was sure there was nothing left to remember, I started to head to the other door and opened this one as quietly as I had with the closet door. The hallway seemed to go on a fair ways in either direction with around a dozen doors. It looked like there was an opening in the hallway to the right, so I headed in that direction. The opening was a very large staircase that curved along the walls. It looked like there were two more floors above me. The staircase that led to the first floor was on the right and as I slowly made my way down, I could hear voices float my way from the other side of the wall. I am almost to the bottom when the front door abruptly opens and the kids I had seen earlier start running through screaming and laughing. They left the door open and in comes a wolf the size of a bear with a child on it's back. The wolf lets out a playful growl towards the children and they all scatter to hide throughout the house.
Eventually the wolf notices me standing there and it starts to shake and stand in an upright position. The little girl on it's back quickly puts her tiny arms around it's neck and in the next second the wolf becomes a man with nothing but some skimpy underwear on. He grabs the little girl from his back and places her on the ground "Okay Sarah, why don't you go play with your friends a bit more before bedtime. I'm gonna go help this lost stranger."
"Okay" Sarah says with an exasperated look on her face. She can't be more than four years old, but she's got the ability to be as sassy as an average middle schooler. She looks at me with curious eyes as she heads in the same direction the other kids had gone.
"I'm Alec. Are you looking for something?" the man who was a wolf says to me as he puts on some clothes he got out of a cabinet by the front door.
"Umm... Sean?"
"Last I saw him was when he was heading into the alpha's office. Come on, I'll show you where it is." he promptly leads me to the right in the direction where I thought the voices were coming from earlier. "So why do you want to talk to Sean?"
What was I supposed to say to that? I just woke up in his bedroom and have no idea where I am. I obviously don't have many options here. "Well... I just... he... I don't know" my inability to form coherent sentences, a sign of my dyslexia, resurfaced for the first time since I had moved to college. I mentally smacked myself in the face and tried to move on from the fact that I just embarrassed myself in front of this stranger who can turn into a wolf. Most people usually make up different assumptions as to why I never make any sense when I talk. Many of them just think I'm a naturally nervous person, but in reality having dyslexia means that I exhibit a nonlinear form of thinking. This means that I excel in ideas and concepts, but I am terrible with anything that involves words. I've gotten really good at hiding it, but every now and then it will resurface and I have too many thoughts running through my brain too fast.
Alec stops walking and turns to look at me. I give him my best 'I don't know what to say' look with an air of innocence. He seems to accept this and continues a few more steps and knocks on a door before poking his head in. All the voices inside the room stop and a deep voice answers, "What do you want, Alec?"
"I found a lost girl looking for Sean"
I hear someone stand up and start running towards us. The door flies open, "Bell, I am so sorry. I thought you would've slept through the night." Sean says as he pushes Alec to the side so he can envelope me in one of his perfect hugs.
"That's okay, I was just a little confused when I woke up. How did I get here?"
"How about we all talk about it in the office?"
"Okay" I say and he leads me into the office and shuts the door on Alec so he can't enter. I feel bad for the poor guy but I also don't know him so I'm not going to say anything without knowing the full back story. There is a large sitting area in the office where Haylee, Tommy, the witch girl who saved me, and Jax sat. There were also a couple other large men in here as well. One of them sat behind a very large desk, so I'd assume he was the person in charge of whatever is happening here.
The man behind the desk stands up and starts walking in my direction, "Hello Bell, my name is Derek Black. I'm Tommy's father and Alpha of this pack. It's nice to finally meet you." he says very cordially. I tentatively reach my hand out to shake his and am shocked when his hand entirely envelops mine.
As I look at everyone in the room I realize that all the men are ginormous. Not as large as the alpha of course but they're all over 6 foot and are all built like firemen. It just dawned on me that if this is a pack, then that must mean that everyone a part of it is a werewolf. But that means that Sean is a werewolf too. I am dating a werewolf. I look up at Sean as this all sinks in. He looks down at me with concerned smile as he's trying to figure out what's going on in my head. As he looks into my eyes I realize that I don't even care if he isn't human. I have this unexplainable gut feeling that I am meant to be with this man for the rest of my life.
My eyes drift back to everyone else in the room and the more I think about everything, the more confused I become. "Are you all werewolves?" Everyone tensed immediately after I asked the question and Sean's grip tightened on my waist ever so slightly.
