when I took Karina with me to the podium I knew what I was doing and I knew why I had to do it, my mother was supposed to be the next in line to speak and I had no doubt in my mind that she was going to announce an engagement to a certain princess and burst my happy bubble.
She doesn't like Karina and she didn't even try to hide it, as for my dad as much as he tried to act like a good father, Karina saw right through him. My mother was going to make sure that Karina is hurt and I couldn't allow that.
I could have planned for a better proposal but I thought of it and it made more sense for me to do it in front of everyone. I have no doubt that it will be the only thing people will be talking about for weeks.
