I tried to make a call but the connections were severed. I rushed in a hurry. Suddenly I was forced to stop as my heart began to hurt for some unknown reason. A notification popped up. ( An enormous tower has appeared in many different locations of the world. Nearly half of the world population has been destroyed. Researchers and scientists have rushed to the locations to investigate the origin of the towers.) Before I could get a hang of much information I heard a voice ringing right in my mind. I looked around only to be surprised again. From a tower a giant fiery being appeared. A declaration was made. " Humans let the game of survival begin." The giant figure vanished. As soon as the declaration was made my hand began to feel sizzling hot. When I looked at it there was the word Failure engraved on it. Thinking no more I rushed back to my home where a despairing news was awaiting me. When I reached my home all I could see was a crumbled house. My mother was nowhere to be found and my sister's whereabouts were unknown. I went to the construction site where my father worked. The construction site was in shambles. It reeked of blood. I desperately searched through the crumbled sites. But when I finally found my father, despair engulfed me. My father was lying there impaled by the rods. I couldn't even watch the scene and fainted. When I woke up again it was already dark. Once again there was an announcement on my notification bar. I checked through it and was surprised again. "What? What's going on? How could this be happening? I only thought these things happen in fiction stories. Am I dreaming? No it couldn't be the pain I felt is real." Soon I received a call. It was from an unknown number. Hesitantly I picked up the call. I could hear the weak voice from the other side, it was a familiar voice." Brother, mom.. Something happened to mom." I could tell that my sister was crying. As soon as I heard her voice I was a little relieved but soon became worried again. " What.. What happened? Where are you?" "We are in the national hospital. Mom isn't saying anything." "OK don't worry I will be there in a while." I rushed towards the hospital. When I reached there I saw that my mother was being plagued by a strange disease. It wasn't just my mother but many others were in similar conditions. Doctors only said that the disease is unknown and they would try their best. I hugged my sister. She was only 14 years old. The beast suddenly jumped at one of the B rank hunters and slashed its claws. The B rank hunter was instantly shredded into pieces. My legs went weak and I slumped on the ground. My whole body was trembling. I was desperately trying to force myself to get away from all this but it was impossible. The numbers of hunters halved. The A rank hunter tried to send a distress signal but it was futile. Our connection with the outside world was severed. The hunters persisted but it was like ants trying to move a mountain. Only five of us were left. All of them were injured. Although I was fine I wasn't in a condition to move. Back to the present time.. The beast jumped towards me with its mouths wide open.
