Alaric sat at the head of the long council table. His expression was stoic as he listened to his advisors. The room was filled with the soft murmur of voices, discussing various improvements to the kingdom. The council had been convened to review the progress in agriculture, infrastructure, and military defenses, and for the most part, everything seemed to be falling into place.
