It had been a few days since I finally made up my mind. I had enough of waiting for something that was inevitable from the beginning. My fathers came back from their trip to the orphanage a day later than they thought, but they had no answers for me about my situation.
I did test my blood for werewolf genes, and it confirmed I had them, but they were dormant. It wasn't an uncommon result, but it meant that one of my biological parents was human. So, there was a 50/50 chance of me being human with all the super-heightened senses. I guess in my case the human part won and I’ll never be able to shift.
