I didn't know what to think about it all. Was it officially the end? Was it indeed so easy, and we managed to defeat Raven permanently? I hoped so because I couldn't stand another innocent person dying.
It was already too much after experiencing all the broken bonds. So, after William's sacrifice, I let Cameron carry me through the entire time to the packhouse as I willed my brain to analyze it all but failed. My body gave up somewhere in the middle of our run, too.
I woke up to the rays of the sun seeping through the not fully closed curtains, warming up my skin.
