The shift lasted seconds, and the dash out of the office even shorter. The high-pitched screams echoed in the packhouse as my big wolf damaged the interior my lovely mate spent days decorating.
I knew I would have to deal with her wrath later, but right now, the only thing I could focus on was the damn feeling of uncertainty. I wanted time to think about everything happening to my family recently. And it was a lot.
My wolf ran past the last cabin on our territory and straight into the forest. It always helped us when we struggled or were in pain, and it seemed that something was coming our way again.
