Amy's POV
The walk back to Cam's apartment went like a blur. I still sobbed in his arms after discovering my biological father might be alive. My fathers betrayed me; they kept it secret when they could tell me what they had found. I don't know what made them make that decision.
'Fear?' my wolf guessed.
'Fear of what?' I asked, not seeing the connection.
'That you resent them and choose your biological father over them?' she pondered.
I haven't thought about that this way. It never crossed my mind to turn my back on my parents. They might be adoptive, but in my heart, they were real. I knew I wasn't their blood since I was little, but I was grateful they chose me to be their daughter. No matter what, I would always turn to them for anything.
