My birthday had been three days ago, and no one had been any the wiser. I was now eighteen years old. It was a strange thought that I was now legally considered an adult in the eyes of the law, but I had so much going on in my life that it wasn't safe for me to be alone. Although, I was alone right now!
Josh and Jamie had gotten up and gone for a run early this morning, before any of us had even gotten up for breakfast. I knew this, because I had slept in Jamie's room again last night, and he had told me where he was going this morning before he left. They were having a race. Josh had been hounding Jamie for a race for the past few days, and Jamie had finally given in. The two of them were so competitive that it was actually a little ridiculous, but in a funny way.
