Chapter Seventy-Five. Pamela. “Mam, I love you, but I am not a child, and I am going out. I will be quite safe, and back in a couple of hours,” I say attempting to placate my mother, who is sitting shaking her head, letting out one long sigh after another. “I don’t know what I have done to deserve this,” she mumbles, as if I am confessing to murdering someone.
