Astrid’s pov
Before Rita could bring whatever concoction she was preparing for me, I decided to go back and see how the investigation was faring. The line outside was now shorter than I remembered which was a relief. Soon my mates will be able to rest.
I went into the interrogation room just as they were questioning one of the guards and noticed that only Zane and Roshen were there.
“Where is Aidan?” I asked, like a reflex Zane gave Roshan a look and Roshan looked at him back it seems they were mind linking with each other, apparently done communicating because Roshan suddenly had a serious look on his face while Zane replied, “he said he was really exhausted and needed a break, he should be back by the time we have finished questioning everyone.”
