I could see Aiden fussing with every step we were taking, apologizing with every line as if he was sorry for even walking next to me. But I told him not to worry. I knew that it was Rita who was desperately trying to get all over him and his brothers and he shouldn't have to worry about her.
“I want to make it up to you…” he said earnestly, rubbing my palm with his fingers, then he smiled in a devious manner and began to pull me onto another path in the woods. I followed after him until we came to a beautiful lake.
