My plan could not have worked out any better than it did. The only problem was they went to check on her first before coming over to me. But I swallowed dowm the anger and watched as they fussed over her wolf, asking her to shift back so they can assess her injuries.
I took a deep breath, looking at the bodies of my dead comrades. They had been expendable but their sacrifice would not go in vain. Soon I'll have them wrapped around my fingers just like old times, I just have to be patient and level headed.
