Zane carried this smile on his face as I raised the card, and the bidder grinned visibly. The item was the second-highest bid of the night. It was very unexpected because they had zero hopes for the thing in general.
"You didn't have to, though," I said as the bid finally ended, but we were still on our chairs. I looked up at him, and he smiled at me.
"I know, that's why you will pay for it when we go and change," he whispered in my ear, and his cold lips lightning pecked my neck.
"How?" shivers ran through my spine as unexpected excitement, and a little fear traveled across my body. I couldn't really say much about this emotion I was suddenly feeling.
