Norah shook her head smiling after Williams left her office. Though she hadn't been expecting his apology it felt good hearing it and it felt as if a whole lot of weight have been lifted off her chest.
She had just gone back to work when her phone rang.
Without looking at the screen she picked up with a smile on her face thinking that it was Payton calling back. " Baby, you won't believe what happened. Williams just apologized to me. "
A pause on the other side.
" Your ex! why would he be apologizing to you when you cheated on him? " Linda's brows pulled into a confused frown.
Norah was disappointed when she realized she got the wrong person. " I thought you were Payton. "
" Happy to hear from you too, " Linda muttered sarcastically hearing the disappointment in Norah's voice.
