  _Calden’s POV_   I decided to stay away from the Sunlight Ridge Packhouse tonight. Instead, I went straight to my apartment near the office. I needed space to think, and the packhouse felt too crowded with all the family drama.   My apartment was small but quiet. Just me and my thoughts. That’s how I liked it when things got complicated.   But my peace didn’t last long.   When Nicholas showed up at my door, I was surprised.   Nicholas looked like a kicked puppy, but he left.
