  _Calden’s POV_   I watched Nicholas grab a bottle of opened wine from the table and fill two glasses. He tilted his head and tossed back the first glass in one long gulp. His face, already red, turned a shade deeper.   Nicholas thumped the empty glass on the table and wiped his mouth with the back of his hand. Then he glared at Zarelle. “Your turn!”   I inhaled deeply. I’d only agreed to come to The Penthouse because I needed to keep Nicholas in check. My plan was to wait for my friend to blow off some steam, then go home and work through a new merger proposal. How had things turned into a drinking contest?   I glanced at Zarelle, hoping she had the good sense to turn Nicholas down. After all, she didn’t drink much. The contest was unfair to her.   “He’s drunk,” I said to Zarelle. “
