Pain/Pain

2043 Words

It would be at least two hours more before the new workday would start.  Alone now, Rhys didn’t want to go back to the bed he had so recently shared with Ren. He simply went to the bathroom to bathe and get a headstart on the day. Under the warm water streaming from the showerhead, he put his mind to work. Not that he was complaining—like, at all—but things had been happening quite quickly where he and Ren were concerned. Far too quickly for him not to start suspecting some things. Where should he start unraveling the mysteries? According to Ren, there were things that Rhys was unable to remember—things that, from his words, obviously related to Ren himself. It was hard to dismiss it all as the ramblings of a drunk. Those tears alone could only have come from a deep and raw source.
