Bobbie pushed her hair off her face as she watched the kids on the soccer field. Ollie was racing down the field with a ball. Their age group was more about learning basics, rules and getting the hang of not touching the ball but she had to admit, Ollie was a natural athlete, and she had a competitive streak a mile wide. They were playing the same team she’d gotten into fisticuffs with a boy a few weeks back and while the other kids were able to move on, it was clear the boy she’d pummeled was gunning for her. Max was trailing the group occasionally stopping to chat with one of the other boys on the mixed team and then running after the ball only if it came near him. “Doesn’t this frustrate the hell out of you,” Olivier growled beside her as he waved his hand at Max. “What about it?”
