Honesty, that is what Gabriel wants from me, and that is what I promised him, but how do I tell him that I feel like a failure. I failed him by not listening to him and walking into that house regardless of how many times he had told me it might just be better to walk away from that house. I should’ve known that my mother would pull something like that. Why else would she insist that it be done at her house. She knew she would have the upper hand, and I know my mother, I know that she would push her will onto me, regardless of what damage she does to me. I listened to that little girl inside who just wanted her mother to be on her side, but it seemed I never learned.
