Rowan hesitated to answer his exclamation. He had to have known she could speak to animals. She did not doubt that Fyn had told Cass about her gift. But he acted like it was a complete shock and almost as if he was learning about it for the first time.
“Yes… ummm… I spoke to the grizzly bear, and Momma bear warned me about the wolf that roamed the area," Rowan answered.
“Wow…" was Cass's only response.
