Rowan was halfway down the hill when Burger raced after her and stopped in her path.
-Rowan can't go!- Burger cried urgently in her head.
-I have to! They need my help!- Rowan insisted.
-Cass said it's dangerous. Rowan must be kept safe!- Burger pleaded with her.
-I will, I promise! I just need to help them!- she told him firmly.
