DAMIEN’S POV
I didn’t want Victoria to find out that I had gone to meet with her witch friend because I knew that would greatly upset her. I didn’t want her to lose her trust in me not after we had just seemed to finally fix thing and get to a better place. Of course things weren’t perfect between us but I appreciated the fact that she was opening up to me and even seeing things my way.
The fact that she didn’t really fight the way I chose to do things gave me hope that she would accept me as the new king to take her place. I still wasn’t sure of how I was going to convince her to accept me but I was sure that I would be able to figure something out. I planned to use the elders and their outdated beliefs to my advantage.
