DAMIEN’S POV
After James walked away, I watched Victoria take a deep breath as if she had been holding it in this whole time. She looked like she was about to pass out, so I helped her sit down, and William brought her some water. Maybe I had done too much too soon. She had seen James right after meeting Theo, who hadn’t been much help to use, and James had just made her feel horrible. He may not have said much to her or blatantly called her Wyatt, but we all knew that this was what he was thinking. We knew he was wondering if she was the wolf that he had been searching for. If not for the few changes that she now had, he would have pounced on her and demanded that I let him go with her. However, the fact that he hadn’t done of that gave me hope.
