Chloe was ready to leave the hospital as the door to her room crashed open, and Chris came rushing in looking crazed. His eyes fell on her, and he saw that she was okay. I watched as relief flooded his body. He threw his arms around her, hugging her tightly. "What happened? I felt pain earlier, and then nothing. I was so afraid," he said. I filled him in on what had happened. He kissed her forehead gently. "Are you okay?" he asked. Chloe nodded, snuggling into his chest happily. "I am now," she replied. Chris looked over at me. "I am going to kill that bastard for this!" he exclaimed. I smiled, pleased to see that he was willing to kill for my daughter. However, he wouldn't get the chance. Claude Simmons was mine if he was stupid enough to show his face again.
