ALPHA ADAM MORRIS I shut myself in my office up at the pack house to think. Amber was my mate, my true mate, chosen by the Moon Goddess herself. I should be eager to spend my evening curled up in her arms. Yet I hadn't been able to get away fast enough. Rusty was unhappy with me, but I just shut him out. I tried to concentrate on Amber and the twins, my happy little family. That thought made me scoff. Were we really happy? My life had been nothing but drama and fighting since Amber had come into it.
