As soon as Council Member Perry told us that Chris could not have sent the note to Chloe, I took off. If he was right and someone had sent it wanting Chloe to believe that it was Chris, then it had to be a trap. I knew my way to the river. I have taken a few late night walks along its banks during my time here. It didn't take me long to find the bridge. There was no sign of Chloe there, though. Or anyone else, for that matter. I tried to pick up a scent, but there was nothing that stood out to me. I didn't smell Chloe either. In fact, it didn't seem as though she had ever been there. I was confused. Perhaps she was hiding somewhere else until dawn was closer. I needed to find her and let her know that Chris was safe.
