After three days, Sarah started fighting to breathe on her own, and the ventilator was removed, but she was still unconscious, and her fever wouldn’t break. There was no change in Luc’s condition. The only thing left to do was to try and keep them as comfortable as possible. There was no explanation for the fever except for, possibly, the fact that Luc marked Sarah.
THE HEAT REMAINED UNBEARABLE, but Luc had to try and find her.
