I run my fingers delicately over the tender spot on my neck and smile to myself. I didn’t plan this. Goddess the thought hadn’t even crossed my mind but last night I couldn’t hold back any longer. I’ve always been an impulsive sort of person. I’ve always followed my gut and last night a voice deep within my soul was telling me that the moment was right. That I was ready to commit myself to this man. Was it too soon? Perhaps. Do I regret it? Not one bit.
I lean up on my elbow and look over his handsome face again. My mate. The man I’m going to spend the rest of my life with. He excites me in ways I can’t explain. He makes me feel alive and yet secure. Our future holds a lot of uncertainties, scary unknowns and probably a s**t ton of surprises but we can face them head
