“How is the drive? I’m missing you already.” Annie’s voice says to me through the mind link as I clutch the steering wheel.
“Missing me already? I’ve barely been gone half an hour.” I chuckle in return. “I wasn’t expecting to hear from you so soon.”
“Well you will be out of range soon and I won’t be able to hear your sexy voice in my head so I thought I’d take advantage but hey if I’m disturbing you-“
I laugh loudly and interrupt her quickly.
“No… you know I love it. To answer your question, the drive is fine, the sun is going down and I’m thinking of you… and also that red lacy thing you were wearing before I left.” I tease cheekily.
“Haha!! You liked that did you? I promise to wear it again when you come back to me… don’t take too long now.”
