(Amara POV)
I groaned and opened my eyes. I frowned and looked at the dark room. I quickly put on my side light and looked around.
There was some kind of sound coming from outside my balcony door. I immediately got out of my bed and stared at the curtains of the balcony. I gasped as I saw a quick shadow.
No shadows.
I cursed as I conjured my sword. I tried to open my mind link to my protectors but it was not connecting.
Something was not right. I looked at my swords whose power kept flickering.
'Atarah, what is happening?' I mind linked my wolf.
'I… I don’t know. Something in the air. It's making us weak. Like draining our power' she was breathing heavily. That was when I noticed what state I was in.
