Cai didn't talk to me during the whole ride to the council, and I did not dare to start a conversation either, afraid that I might say something that she will not like and will just make things worse between us. All I could do is to steal a glimpse of her, but when I saw her busy watching the view outside the window, I took that chance to stare at her.
I miss my mate so much. I can't wait to feel her soft lips pressed against mine, to feel her warm hug that provides me comfort, and especially her smile and laugh that gives me the energy to keep going.
