Jay hadn’t been feeling well for the past few days, and today seemed to be just as bad. She was sure it was some kind of flu or something, and she would get over it soon. I tried staying home to take care of her, but she wouldn’t hear it today. She insisted I still go to the charity thing my mother and the rest of the girls had put together to raise money for the art programs in the schools in our state.
