Cassandra's gaze flicked to him, cool and calculating. "I wasn't expecting you here so early," Darius said, voice low and smooth as he walked over to his desk and sank into the chair opposite her. "Neither was I," she replied. "But I figured if we're doing this... whatever this is, we might as well get it over with. No point wasting time." Darius raised a brow ever so slightly. "Efficient. I admire that." He opened one of the side drawers, pulled out a small case of sanitizing wipes, and began calmly wiping the dried smudge of blood from the edge of his palm.
