She stared as he stood up from his chair, a stoic expression on his face, but in his eyes she could tell he was angry. Without hesitation, Darius yanked the screwdriver out of Moretti’s hand. A fresh scream tore through the air. Blood sprayed in a thin arc, splattering across polished wood and expensive suits. Moretti crumpled, clutching his mangled hand, his face contorted in white-hot agony. Darius barely looked at him. “I advise you all to go and get your files ready,” he said, voice calm as ever, each word cutting like glass. “This is just a warning… of what’s yet to come. Get out.
