I hadn’t quite gotten over the shock of my own father hiring a trained assassin to kill both me and my mate. Before Bow had left the cabin, I had asked him to let his ‘client’ know that his mission was a failure. Between Robin and I, we had filled Bow in on everything we could as to why my father would’ve hired a trained assassin to end our lives. Apparently, Robin was higher up than me and that I was only to be taken out if I got in the way. My father had tried to kill his only son. This wasn’t something I took lightly. In fact, even though I knew Bow would be giving my father the heads up, I had to wonder if my mother had been in on it as well.
“I’ll be back soon,” I said to my mate as I stopped the ranger just outside the pack's gate.
