Suddenly, I had been thrown into another universe as I shifted uncomfortably in the front seat of Seff’s ranger. Apparently, us being friends now meant that I was a part of their little group. Seff was concentrating on driving while Decker and Luca sat at the back with a phone between them as they watched videos. When Seff had pulled up in front of my house this morning, my father had given me a questioning look but had simply gone back inside as he yelled out that I should have a good day. Really? Was this my life now? And why had I been given the front seat? I knew that this was Decker’s usual spot. Did he resent me for it? I certainly didn’t ask for it, but it was the only available seat unless I had wanted to squish in the back with those two crazy idiots – which I didn’t. I
