Iris I heard a soft whine and woke up slowly. My body tired, but my heart compelled me to follow the whine, to comfort him. It was my pup. I just knew it in my soul. Stretching my arms in slow motion, I nudged Sapp. “Wake up, furball. He needs us!” “Five more minutes!” Sapp whimpered, placing her paw over her eyes. “No, Sapp. We have to go now!” I told her, moving her paw away. She sighed, but stood up and followed the sound with me. “I feel like we only slept for an hour or so. It was even too short for a nap!” my wolf grumbled with a yawn. She was right. We haven’t slept for long, but the last thing I wanted to do was sleep. After walking a little through the lands of my mind, I saw a little white ball of fur. He was so tiny and cute. My pup! My heart melted and my sadness dissolve
