  Iris    My eyes blinked with thick tears as sharp pain radiated from the pit of my stomach to my heart and the fresh mark on my shoulder burned as if it were on fire. I could hardly move, only felt the cold sweat sliding down my forehead and neck as muffled cries of pain left my panting lips.  “What is happening?” I asked Sapphire, but her only answer was a deep howl of pain. Whatever it was, it was hurting both of us in equal measure.  After what seemed like hours, I heard the noise of the door being slammed open, maybe even broken, and heard Colton’s and Zita’s voices. “Oh, my Goddess, Iris!
