Chapter 28 Over the counter, I handed Sheriff Bowles and Annie their coffees and scones. “Have a good morning, you two,” I said, already moving on to the next customer in line. I was smack in the middle of the breakfast rush but handling it fine. No sweat. I’d grown accustomed to working alone. The awkward and clumsy Christensen was long gone.
