The Alphas Choice

Chapter 2

*Lucas POV*

I watch her at lunch. Her scent drowning me even though we are outside in the fresh air. Why did Kira have to choose to befriend her? Her of all people. Seriously my sister so caring and generous. I don't think I am ready for this. Why would the moon goddess give me this human as a mate. Seriously a little weak human. 

Sure she is insanely beautiful. Her long dark hair tied up in a ponytail her long black singlet over her acid wash jeans finished off with some black slip on vans. I liked the military boots she wore yesterday better. I picked up her scent early in the day yesterday. 

I have just been watching her trying to work her out. I haven't told anyone yet there is no way I am ready to tell anyone that their future luna is a feeble human that is just going to be a drain on resources trying to keep her protected.

I followed her back to her house yesterday. She emerged so quickly again. Looking like a completely different person. Her punk rock chick look gone replaced with a neat and tidy skirt and shirt. I was so interested in this rapid change in her that I followed her. She was walked straight into one of the bars that we own. I went in after she left and asked what she wanted. They said a job, so I gave her one, it is as easy as that. It makes sense and if she wants to work it's better that it is one of my family's establishment so I can keep a closer eye on her. I lost her after that, she has quite a knack for pulling a disappearing act.

School finishes. I watch Alexis as she walk towards her house.

"Okay guys I will catch up with you back at the house later"

Oliver taunts back.

"Where are you running off again to today?"

"Shut it and head back to the house"

Oliver is my best friend and my future beta but having him all up in my business all the time? So frustrating. Sorry I didn’t realize I had to produce an itinerary daily. I look back over and Alexis is out of sight. Where the hell did she get to? I hurry off after her. I follow her scent. I am at a jog now.

Did she run? I slip down the side of her house when I hear the front door open I wait a minute then head out. I see her in a work out outfit. Shit this girl has quick change down to an art form, seriously waiting for Kira to change her clothes is as fun as watching grass grow and it takes just about as long. She has a backpack on and takes off down the road. It is a lot harder to follow a girl running without looking completely Sus.

But I manage to do it without looking too much like a stalker. She enters a gym I smile and wait 10 minutes.

I walk in the door.

"Future alpha Lucas, what do we owe the pleasure?"

"Hey Sebastian, sorry long time no see, did you see a human girl? She came in here about 10 minutes ago?"

Sebastian nods in the direction of the fight arena. This peaks my interest. I thank him and walk over there without drawing attention to myself which is not really one of my strong suits. It is lucky that my family owns half the gyms in town and this being one of them. I finally lay eyes on her. She has little shorts on and a singlet. Her shoes are removed now and she it busy taping up her wrists and ankles. One of the trainers walk over to her. I scowl. Kyle. I just listen.

"Hey gorgeous, did you want a hand with that?"

I can see her roll her eyes from here, which bring a smile to my face, but then she smiles at him, back to scowl for me.

"I think I will be right"

"Are you Alexis?"

"Yeah"

"I am Kyle, you are my 4 o'clock."

"Okay I will be with you in one second”

She finishes her last ankle and ties her hair up in a tight high bun. I like watching her move, her supple skin get begging to be touched. She starts stretching. Legs wide and over. Palm on the floor. I nearly lose it and go and mount her. I breathe deeply, pushing the lust away. I am pretty positive I have never seen anything as sexy as her simple stretching.

I think it's cute that she is all wrapped up ready to fight. I would have thought she would of stuck to the treadmill and some simple weights. She finally stop stretching and I can breathe a sigh of relief.

Kyle who has been watching her as well approaches.

"You ready?"

"Yep"

She slips her fingers under the bottom of her singlet and turns her back to me. She lifts her top over her head and reveals her training crop but not just that. I think my mouth actually hits the floor at this stage. Her entire back is covered in the most beautiful tattoo that I have ever seen. It is a full piece including a large wolf an eagle and an owl. It is fine and intricate with so much detail. It is an absolute work of art. It is absolutely beautiful, I thought she was stunning before, but this has taken it to a whole new level, she is mesmerizing.

She is only 17 so it surprises me that she has such a large piece at that age. I can't take my eyes off it. Kyle breaks my view by standing in front of me. He reaches out and touches her.

A low growl comes out. I clamp my hand over my mouth then sit on the bench my hands clenching the bench so hard that my knuckles start to turn white.

She turns around.

"Do you mind?"

Ahh that's my girl.

"Sorry that's just a masterpiece you have there"

She blushes.

"Umm yeah thanks, well shall we do this?"

"Here I will help you"

He opens the ropes for her meaning that she will have to brush past him. She smiles.

"I think I will be fine"

She jumps over the ropes like she has done it 1000 times before.

I link Sebastian.

'Come switch with Kyle please'

'Yes Alpha'

Sebastian comes in.

"Kyle go man the desk, I got this training session"

"But"

"Do it now"

I smile as I watch Kyle walk off back to the desk. Sebastian jumps in the ring.

"Hi I am Sebastian I will take your session today"

"Hi I am Alexis"

"Well Alexis, let's start with a bit of a warm up shall we?"

They start bouncing around warming up. I look her over. Her perfectly flat stomach her arms. This chick is strong, for a human that is.

Sebastian grabs the big training pad.

"Okay Alexis let's do I few kicks and punches so I can gauge where you are at and we can go from there"

She turns to him and nods. Her eyes focused as she bounces on the balls of her small feet. She starts off light kick punch. She has good technique but not much in the way of power.

"Good now a little bit harder"

She starts laying in to the pad so hard Sebastian nearly had to take a step back I have seen some she wolves with less power than that. The longer I watch her the larger my smile grows. Wow I guess you can't judge a book by it's cover. My little weakling human mate. Is actually a little human kickboxing champ. Still weak compared to us. But still. I am impressed. Sebastian speaks.

"Damn girl, you know your stuff. You ready for a bit of hand to hand combat?"

"Yep"

He puts down the pad and faces her.

"Lay all you got on me"

She raises her eyebrows.

"But I will hurt you"

He laughs.

"I am sure I will recover"

"Fine you asked for it"

She kicks he blocks she punches he blocks. She doesn't even land a hit. After an hour she is sweating hard.

"Okay time is up, you are really well trained"

"I didn't even get a hit on you"

He laughs.

"Not many people can"

He glances in my direction, luckily she doesn't notice. It's true I am one of the few people that can. He continues.

"Have you thought about doing competition?"

"I did a couple back home, but it is too much of a drain on time. I have to work, I don’t have that many hours free"

"Pity your really good,"

"Thanks"

"Same time tomorrow?"

She nods and jumps out of the ring again. I watch as the sweat on her skin glistens and runs in to tiny little droplets down her shoulder and down her back over that tattoo, what a tantalizing sight. I just can't get enough of it. I want to touch her. Her heat and sweat making her scent even stronger. I am struggling to keep my wolf in. She slips back on her singlet and bag and sets off out of the gym just as quickly as she entered.

I walk out and watch her run off home. Sebastian walks over to me.

"So a little human has caught the interest of the future alpha?"

"No, she is just new at school and I wanted to see what she is all about"

I lie. He nods.

"Well she is pretty strong for a human, speaking of strong. It's been a while, let's see how you have been training at home without me"

"Spar?"

"Spar"

"I only have on this"

"I got a spare"

I smile I haven't spared with Sebastian in ages I am keen to show him how quickly I can beat him up now. I have been training hard.
