Seven Months Later Walking through the theatre Hadlee felt like a pregnant hippo trying to navigate land instead of water. She was past due. Her due date was ten days ago. Apparently, this baby Byrd was heeding its father’s request to stay in the safety of momma’s belly as long as possible. The renovations in the theatre seemed never-ending with constant problems erupting but she could see the finish line. “Hadlee, this place looks amazing!” her mother’s voice calling from the back of the theatre made her smile. She looked at her mother and laughed, “your first day out and you came here?” “I’ve been so desperate to see it,” she walked towards Hadlee with the two months old baby strapped to her chest. Her mother’s delivery of Hadlee’s youngest brother was nothing short of terrifying.
