"Is Cassandra joining with you?" I heard Maria asking as soon as she saw me heading toward the kitchen.
"I don't think so," I replied without stopping on my tracks. As soon as I arrived on my destination, I went straight to the cabinets and started doing what I was about to do. I began preparing two sets of unused dishes and utensils placing each with gentleness on the island counter while opening cabinets to find some other important things.
"I wonder if Cassandra like veggies?" Maria asked once again, now lazily walking to where I was. I lifted my gaze to her, then dragged my gaze to the living area to find my brother. My forehead creased as a reaction when I could not find him around.
