When the light was turned on from the inside, his heart was filled with trepidation. Would they drive him away? Would they let him in? Would they get irritated that he came at this hour and disturbed them?
Her mother opened the door and found him debating with himself.
“Wayne . . .” Wena would admit that she’s surprised to see him.
He lowered his head as he greeted back. “Mom . . .”
“Why are you here?” she asked.
