I woke up with a terrible headache. My head was pounding, and the subtle clanking in the background was like nails to my ears. It was so painful. I didn't even know I could get migraines.
"Luci... make it stop..." I groaned.
Luci? Who the heck is Luci? Why was that the first thing that came to mind?

My eyes snapped open. I groaned and quickly shut them. I pinched the bridge of my nose, trying to prepare myself to open my eyes again.
This time, the pain wasn't as bad. My head is still throbbing though. Every little noise is like a gong being hit right next to my ear.
However, the fear of my surroundings quickly pushed the pain to the back burner of my mind.
