Kaylie’s POV
Jake and I just had left Austin’s house and we are walking towards my house currently. Jake has been very tense since we have left Austin’s. It seems like he has a lot on his mind. While we were walking, he kept looking up at the sky letting out a sigh as if he was trying to process something and trying to gain the courage to say what is on his mind.
I quickly poke his arm to snap him out of his trance. He looks down at me and seems to be taken back a bit. I smile and ask, “What’s on your mind.?”
He quickly looks up to the right and rubs his face and replies, “Well, you know it is the start of the new year and I still don’t know what to do after graduation.”
He is lying that is not what he is thinking about. But I won’t push him on it. “It's okay if you don’t know yet. Y
